Duties & Responsibilities: The
Albert Einstein College of Medicine invites applications for a senior
faculty position at the Associate or Full Professor level in the
Division of Biostatistics in the Department of Epidemiology and
Population Health. The Division currently includes a total of 18
Doctoral and Master’s level statisticians who have expertise in
clinical trials, epidemiologic methods, survival analysis, longitudinal
data analysis, frailty models, statistical genetics and genomics, and
missing data methods. The faculty pursue research in numerous disease
areas and participate in the biostatistics cores of the Albert Einstein
Cancer Center, the Institute for Clinical and Translational Research,
and the Center for AIDS Research. The Division will also be
establishing a new interdisciplinary Center for Quantitative Sciences
in 2013. The successful candidate will work closely with the Division
leadership on developing and overseeing biostatistics research and
teaching activities, will collaborate with Einstein investigators on a
wide range of clinical and translational research studies, and will
mentor junior faculty. Additionally, the successful candidate will have
opportunities to pursue an independent program of methodologic
research. The position will provide opportunities for diverse research
experiences in a highly collegial environment.
Position Qualifications:
Applicants should have a doctorate in biostatistics or statistics, a
successful track record in methodologic and collaborative research
including peer-reviewed publications and grant funding, as well as
relevant teaching experience
