Temporary Assistant Professor/Instructor in Statistics in Truman State University, Missouri

Duties & Responsibilities: Teach undergraduate statistics classes currently offered by the Department of Statistics and performing other duties as assigned. Other duties could include advising, mentoring students in research, or service to the university and community.


Position Qualifications: Required: • A masters degree (doctoral degree for Temporary Assistant Professor rank) in statistics or a closely related field with substantial coursework in statistics by the date of employment • Demonstrated potential for excellence in teaching • Evidence of strong oral, writing, and interpersonal skills • Preparation or experience related to the responsibilities for the position Preferred: • A doctoral degree in statistics or a closely related field by the date of employment • Evidence of excellence in teaching with extensive experience • Ability to teach multiple subjects taught within the department (including Introductory Statistics, Design of Experiments, Regression, Non‐Parametric Statistics, & Statistical Quality Control) • Desire and ability to support Truman’s liberal arts mission both within and outside the department
