Statistician Regulatory Sciences – Req #: 00HYJ St. Louis, MO Monsanto is currently hiring a Statistician Regulatory Sciences to join our team. This roll will provide key statistical support needed to demonstrate the efficacy and safety of Monsanto's biotechnology and chemical agricultural products. Key Business Accountabilities: • Provide experimental design and statistical analysis support in the area of regulatory sciences (environmental assessment, chemistry, and biotechnology) • Increase the level of statistical knowledge and appreciation throughout the company via statistical training, computer applications, technical articles, and white papers • Improve existing statistical methods and develop new methods with respect to industry-wide standards which support freedom to operate • Interact effectively with individuals on cross-functional teams

Position Qualifications: Core Business/Functional Skills and Education: • Ph.D. in Statistics or Biostatistics or M.S. in Statistics or Biostatistics with at least two years of statistical consulting experience • Experience with experimental designs and statistical models used for the analysis of environmental, agricultural, and/or industrial data for both continuous and categorical data • Experience with fixed and mixed effects linear models • Experience with nonlinear models • Ability to solve problems using non-conventional statistical techniques • Proficiency in SAS, including PROC MIXED and/or GLIMMIX • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Ability to explain complex statistical concepts to non-statisticians in concise, understandable terms • Willingness to continually improve statistical skills and expand personal development • Ability to work independently without direct supervision • Experience with Good Laboratory Practice Standards is a plus but not required To view the complete job description for this exciting position and/or apply online to this opportunity please visit our website at jobs.monsanto.com/statisticianregulatory We offer very competitive salaries and an extensive benefits package.
