Postdoc in risk research at the University of Southern Denmark (SDU)

Job description:

A 3-year position as postdoc in risk research is vacant to be filled as soon as possible at the Institute of Public Health, Unit for Health Promotion/Danish Center for Risk Research, Campus Esbjerg.

The postdoc will be expected to participate in the development and the conduct of research projects on risk perception and in the management and/or communication of risks factors related to the fields of public health, technology and/or the environment.

The scientific work will be expected to contribute to the research infrastructure of the newly founded Danish Center of Risk Research, Esbjerg which is jointly operated by the University of Southern Denmark and Aalborg University and which involves co-operation across health, social, and technical faculties.

Furthermore, the postdoc will be expected to participate actively in the development of a specialization track in risk analysis, risk management and risk communication within the Public Health Master program and will also be expected to teach within the program.

The applicant must have a Ph.D.-degree in public health, the behavioral, or social sciences and a track record of international publications. Moreover, experience with research in the area of either risk perception, risk communication, or risk management will be expected. Experience with a broad range of research methods, particularly quantitative approaches, a track record of cross-disciplinary and international research collaboration as well as experience with grant-writing will be advantageous.
