Salary: Grade B: National £37,043 – £44,313 London £41,588 – £48,853
37 Hours per Week, Permanent | Location: Flexible (UK Office Locations)
An exciting opportunity for a number of Statisticians has arisen within our Intelligence Directorate.
Reporting to the Chief Statistician, you’ll undertake statistical analysis and provide expert advice throughout the CQC, across areas such as indicator development, thematic reviews and risk based approaches. You will need to be able to understand probability distributions, apply statistical tests, undertake multivariate analysis and build generalised linear models. Being able to explain analyses to a range of technical and non-technical audiences is also key.
Whichever sector you currently work in, you’ll need to bring substantial experience, an independent mind and, above all, considerable expertise in writing syntax in statistical software. This will ideally be in SAS, but SPSS, STATA or R are also of interest to us. Close attention to detail and excellent written skills are also prerequisites.
