Company Information: Since 2001, The Ohio State University's Center for Biostatistics has served as a centralized source of biostatistical expertise with whom investigators from both within and outside OSU can collaborate in all aspects of study design, data management, and statistical analysis of clinical, epidemiological, public health, and laboratory research data.
Position Title: Biostatistician
Duties & Responsibilities: The successful candidate will consult in a collaborative research environment; coordinate, conduct, and interpret analyses of biomedical research projects using descriptive statistics, basic inferential tests, and advanced statistical procedures; write programs using statistical software and develop special statistical programs for which no packaged software exists; assist in preparation of journal articles, technical reports and grant submissions; serve as database manager for research projects.
Position Qualifications: Master's degree in biostatistics/statistics or related field, excellent written/oral communication skills, proficiency with statistical software (especially SAS), and experience working with large datasets required. Five or more years experience preferred.
