Visiting Assistant Professor Position, Texas A&M University

The Department of Statistics at Texas A&M University seeks a Visiting Assistant Professor for appointment in the 2015-2016 academic year. This appointment will be non-tenure track. Duties and responsibilities include teaching two courses per semester. Based on applicant preferences, these courses may be taught at either the graduate or undergraduate level, and multiple sections of the same course may be counted separately toward the teaching requirement if undergraduate service courses are taught.

Visiting Statistics Faculty Search in University of California, Santa Barbara

The Department of Statistics and Applied Probability at UC Santa Barbara is searching for qualified candidates for visiting faculty positions for the 2015-2016 academic year (with possibility of renewal for a second year).

A full year appointment carries a teaching load of 5 one-quarter courses per year. Partial year appointments are also possible. Applicants must demonstrate or show strong promise for undergraduate teaching, as well as potential for research and interaction with faculty at UC Santa Barbara. The Department is especially looking for candidates trained to teach undergraduate-level statistics courses (among others Statistics for Economics, Mathematical Statistics, Time Series). Interested candidates should apply by submitting resume, a teaching statement, and have three letters of reference sent (at least one letter should describe teaching accomplishments).

Assistant Professor in Mathematics with emphasis towards complex systems in Stockholm

KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm is the largest and oldest technical university in Sweden. No less than one-third of Sweden’s technical research and engineering education capacity at university level is provided by KTH. Education and research spans from natural sciences to all branches of engineering and includes Architecture, Industrial Management and Urban Planning. There are a total of 12,400 full year students at first and second levels, almost 1,900 active (at least 50 per cent) research students and 5,100 employees.

KTH is strengthening its research on a global scale. We are currently looking to recruit 13 Assistant Professors, whom we will offer the opportunity to develop both their research and their teaching. These recruitments are a part of a larger effort and will be conducted within broad areas, ranging from Mathematics and Bioelectronics to Sustainable Urban Development and Process Engineering.
