The Department of Statistics at The Ohio State University (www.stat.osu.edu) is seeking to fill two tenure-track 
Assistant Professor positions beginning Autumn Semester 2012.  A Ph.D. in statistics 
or biostatistics, and demonstrated excellence in research and teaching are required. 
Candidates should have an interest in both methodological research and 
collaborative science. One of the positions is targeted to a researcher interested 
in applications in biomedical science.  Many opportunities for interaction with 
biological and medical scientists exist on campus, including through the NSF-funded 
Mathematical Biosciences Institute.  The second position is targeted to a researcher 
focusing on theoretical statistics and its application. Excellent start-up is 
provided that includes computational support and reduced teaching and service duties 
for entry-level Assistant Professors.
