Biostatistician. Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine

Duties & Responsibilities: In order to support this commitment during a period of growth and expansion, we are looking for an exceptionally motivated individual to provide statistical, epidemiological and computing (data management) support to primarily surveys and epidemiological overseas studies. The successful candidate will contribute to maintaining collaborative links with existing computing and biostatistical research teams, in country partners based mainly in Africa but you will be required to develop similar links with partners in other tropical regions. Your ability to develop relationships with research and academic staff, both nationally and internationally, will be essential along with excellent communication skills as you must have the ability to explain complex statistical concepts to non - statisticians. You must have proven experience of conducting statistical analysis of health related data, including data manipulation and formatting, descriptive analysis and fitting standard statistical models

Position Qualifications: Educated to degree level with a post graduate degree in medical statistics, or an equivalent in a mathematical/statistical subject with a major component of medical statistics/biostatistics is essential.

Salary Range: £25,000
