Instructional Assistant Professor. Department of Mathematics (in cooperation with the Center for Mathematics and Science Education), University of Mississippi.

Duties & Responsibilities: The Department of Mathematics is seeking an Instructional Assistant Professor (IAP). The successful candidate is supposed to teach the mathematics content courses for elementary education majors. Moreover, the IAP will work closely with the Center for Mathematics and Science Education at UM to coordinate and teach the undergraduate mathematics courses for secondary education majors. Candidates must be knowledgeable about the mathematics necessary for pre-service teachers, and also about the current mathematics education research. The IAP will have four teaching assignments per semester and his duties will include course coordination, redesign of courses when appropriate, and research implementation. Position Qualifications: M.S. in Mathematics. Ph.D in Mathematics Education, or related field.
