Position Title: Statistician II

Duties & Responsibilities: Senior level Genetics study data manager and analysis programmer. Is responsible for overseeing the management, update, validation and documentation of the genetics lab data and other data, as appropriate, including The Breast Cancer Consortium data. Is responsible for preparing SAS macros and data sets of phenotype data for researchers. Uses SAS and/or other programming tools and statistical packages to analyze data. Will be a resource for researchers and other programmer personnel using the genetics data base.

Position Qualifications: Basic Qualifications: Master’s degree in statistics required. 5+ years of relevant experience. Advanced knowledge of statistical programming software or other scientific field. 3 years demonstrated expertise working with data base design, validation and maintenance, proven work experience using SAS, experience with UNIX and ORACLE. Additional Qualifications: PhD preferred. Must be able to work independently under minimal supervision and manage confidential/complex information with discretion.
