Joining the friendly staff at SA Health, you will provide guidance to 
surveillance activities in cancer and pregnancy. In this role you will 
also develop projections and estimates of future health events and 
health service requirements generally. You will design research 
protocols and analytic strategies, and will assess the evidence base for
 state and national health programs.

To be successful in this role you will have an appropriate degree or 
equivalent qualification in mathematics/statistics and/or health 
sciences that leads to recognition as a statistician, biostatistician or
 quantitative epidemiologist. With broad research and report writing 
experience you will be highly skilled in a wide range of descriptive and
 analytic statistical techniques and software tools. Your ability to 
explain in technical and non-technical terms the relative strengths and 
weaknesses of alternative statistical approaches, including various 
types of modelling, will make you the ideal candidate for this role.
