The Statistical Services Centre (SSC) provides statistical consultancy and training to a range of clients in the UK and abroad.  We are now seeking to appoint an additional Statistician to join our successful team.
The ideal candidate will be expected to make a strong contribution to all of the areas of interest to the SSC; in particular our work in developing countries, much of which is in Sub-Saharan Africa.  The candidate must be happy to travel both within the UK and overseas.  Equally, given the variety of our work, we are seeking an enthusiastic person who enjoys the challenge of applied statistical problems and likes to keep up to date with statistical developments.

You will have:

• At least an M.Sc. in Statistics (or equivalent)
• Experience of working in a statistical consultancy and/or training role
• A willingness to travel, both within the UK and abroad
• A good working knowledge of mainstream statistical software
• The ability to work as part of a team and individually
• Excellent communication skills

In addition to a formal interview, candidates will be expected to informally meet staff, take a selection test, and deliver a formal presentation. This will take 2 days.
