The Healthcare Informatics Research department at the IBM T.J.
Watson Research Center, Yorktown Heights, NY is seeking a research staff
member to join a multi-disciplinary research group focusing on
analytics for healthcare, particularly the analysis and visualization of
healthcare and other related data to derive insights for improved care
delivery, care and wellness management, and to support the generation of
real world evidence. The ideal candidate will possess a doctorate in
medical informatics, computer science or biostatistics, with a
demonstrated track record of developing advanced statistics, machine
learning, data mining and visual analytics techniques to solving real
world problems. Candidates must demonstrate a publication record and the
ability to carry out world-class research. In addition to being technically abreast of the literature and progress within the specific and related areas of expertise and generating highly novel ideas, the researcher is expected to lead interactions with clients and partners to define high impact research projects and lead research teams to execute these projects. The researcher should also have demonstrated programming and system development skills and should be able to deploy software individually and as part of an extended team. Proven communication skills and ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team are also critical qualities sought after. |
