Assistant Professor s at the University of Colorado

The Department of Applied Mathematics at the University of Colorado Boulder is seeking to fill a tenure-track position of Assistant Professor, to begin August 2012. Review of applications will begin Nov 1, 2011 and continue until
finalists are identified.



A Ph.D. in Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Mathematics, or other related discipline, is required. Strong research and teaching portfolios in statistics, stochastic processes or applied probability are desired; however, exceptional
candidates in all fields of Applied Mathematics will be considered.

Faculty members are expected to teach both undergraduate and graduate courses, and advise undergraduate and graduate students. Excellent written and oral communication skills as well as interpersonal skills are required. The
Department is especially interested in qualified candidates who can contribute, through their research, teaching, and service, to the excellence of the academic community.



The Applied Mathematics Department has significant research efforts in computation, dynamics, mathematical biology and physical applied math, as well as probability and statistics. The University of Colorado Boulder offers a rich
