Position Qualifications: Required: • A masters degree (doctoral degree for Temporary Assistant Professor rank) in statistics or a closely related field with substantial coursework in statistics by the date of employment • Demonstrated potential for excellence in teaching • Evidence of strong oral, writing, and interpersonal skills • Preparation or experience related to the responsibilities for the position Preferred: • A doctoral degree in statistics or a closely related field by the date of employment • Evidence of excellence in teaching with extensive experience • Ability to teach multiple subjects taught within the department (including Introductory Statistics, Design of Experiments, Regression, Non‐Parametric Statistics, & Statistical Quality Control) • Desire and ability to support Truman’s liberal arts mission both within and outside the department
