Post-Doctoral Data Analyst, University of Michigan Kidney Epidemiology & Cost Center

Duties & Responsibilities: We are inviting applicants to a Post-doctoral Data Analyst position emphasizing application of statistical methods to develop quality measures for the US End Stage Renal Disease (ESRD) population under a newly awarded contract. More specifically, our work focuses on designing and applying statistical approaches for (1) analysis of complicated recurrent event data (e.g. ESRD hospitalizations and readmissions), (2) analysis of dialysis adequacy (e.g. treatment time and ultrafiltration rate), and (3) analysis of standardized transfusion rate. The Post-doctoral fellow is to be supervised by the Director and Professor of  Biostatisics, Yi Li.


Position Qualifications: The candidate should have a doctoral degree in statistics, biostatistics or other related fields. Candidates with strong quantitative background and computing experience working with large scale registry data are desirable. Candidates should have strong knowledge in survival analysis, longitudinal data analysis, causal inference, and possibly, high-dimensional data analysis. Strong writing and communication skills are essential for the position.
