To
work under the supervision of Prof Peter Diggle on an MRC-funded project: Sources, Seasonality, Transmission and Control: Campylobacter and
human behaviour in a changing environment
The project will
involve the development and application of spatial and spatio-temporal
statistical methods. The post is based in Lancaster, but will involve close
collaboration with colleagues elsewhere in the UK and occasional short periods
working in Liverpool.
You should have a PhD
or equivalent qualification in statistics or epidemiology/public health with a
strong statistical component and a working knowledge of statistical programming
in R, C or Fortran. Research experience in spatial statistics/epidemiology and a
record of published research would be advantageous.
