The Centre on Aging and Mobility (CAM) is the clinical research centre of the Department of Geriatrics and Aging Research at the University of Zurich.
At the CAM, we aim to advance health at older age.
To gain evidence for clinical practice changes, our focus is on clinical trials with interventions that have a potential impact at the public health level.
We perform health economic analyses to support health policy makers in the implementation of effective strategies and use systematic reviews/meta-analyses to evaluate the magnitude of evidence across available data.
The CAM coordinates the largest European clinical trial in support of health at an older age DO‐HEALTH
DO‐HEALTH is derived from the three interventions under study:
The Vitamin D3‐Omega3‐Home Exercise ‐ HeALTHy Ageing and Longevity Trial.

Job responsibilities:
Related to DO-HEALTH, your tasks will be to summarize and interpret results of the main clinical trial and illustrate patterns of health, illness, protective factors and risk behaviours in the DO‐HEALTH population.
In the process, you will need to design DO‐HEALTH analysis plans and perform those analyses in the SAS statistical language.
Further, you will provide research and methodological support to other staff members and doctoral students at the CAM including:

Further, you will provide research and methodological support to other staff members and doctoral students at the CAM including:
- Study design and proposal writing
- Data input and analysis
- Using health resource utilization data for health economic modelling
- Report writing / manuscript writing / presentation of concepts and results
- Modelling different disease patterns
Finally, you will have the possibility to write your own grants to pursue your own research agenda in aging research.

Your work at the CAM will be under the direction of Prof. Heike A. Bischoff‐Ferrari, MD, DrPH who is the director of the CAM and Chair of Geriatrics and Aging Research at the University of Zurich.
For DO‐HEALTH you will also be under the supervision of the DO‐HEALTH Head Biostatistician (Prof. E. John Orav, PhD, Associate Professor, Harvard Medical School).

Your position will be based at the Centre on Aging and Mobility, University of Zurich, located at the Waid City Hospital in Zurich, Switzerland.
The Centre on Aging and Mobility belongs to the Department of Geriatrics and Aging Research at the University of Zurich and is part of the Geriatric Clinic at the University Hospital Zurich.
The position is initially limited to 4 years, but extension is possible.
Salary depends on experience.
