Bistatistician in Miami

Duties & Responsibilities: The Biostatistician will be part of a collaborative and analytical research team based in the Division of Clinical Research in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Miami. The focus in this division is on both clinical (i.e., observational) and experimental research, as well as program evaluation. S/he will work in collaboration with medical and scientific researchers under supervision from the senior staff in the Division of Pediatric Clinical Research. S/he will specialize in basic to intermediate statistical analyses, study design, development of research instruments, data collection, data management, interpretation of results, preparation of reports, and preparation of grants and manuscripts.

Position Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Statistics/Biostatistics or related quantitative area is required, Master's preferred. Candidates should have at least intermediate experience and expertise in SAS programming for purposes of database management and for the accessing of secondary data bases (e.g., NHANES, ODBC data sources, etc.).Two plus years of experience is preferred but only one is required. The candidate should have experience in the statistical consulting environment with the ability to self-initiate

Salary Range: $42,000-$61,000
