Senior Statistical Consultant in Victoria, Australia

The Evidence & Modelling Unit has been established as a Department-wide strategic resource to support evidence-based planning and policy. The Senior Statistical Consultant - Modelling & Forecasting is responsible for developing this evidence-base and assisting their clients to analyse data. The Senior Statistical Consultant will present their projects to various audiences. Liaison with clients across the Victorian Government is also an integral part of the role.
To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate:
  • A post graduate qualification in statistics.


  • Highly developed verbal and presentation skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to foster good stakeholder relationships
  • Strong statistical skills and analytical abilities
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of SAS, SAS macros, SAS/STAT and SAS/ETS
  • Strong interest in how data can be used to inform policy and planning.
