Statistica Coordinator in University of Florida

Company Information: The University of Florida (UF) is a major, public, comprehensive, land-grant, research university. The Institute for Child Health Policy (ICHP) conducts research to promote the health of children, adolescents, and young adults. The focus of research is examining factors that contribute to disparities in health and health care outcomes for minority and underserved children and youth, and developing strategies to address these issues.
Position Title: Statistical Coordinator

Duties & Responsibilities: Design and manage data file systems from multiple research projects that include multiple data sets using a variety of database and statistical software tools, for example, SAS, SQL, and Excel Optimize, data summary and reporting using various software tools including SAS programming, SQL code, Excel Macros (Visual Basic), and running stored procedures; Conduct statistical data analyses, write statistical programming code for software such as SAS, Stata, S-Plus, SPSS, and participate in interpretation of results Oversee statistical analyses conducted by graduate student research assistants and staff Participate in design and implementation of research and evaluation studies.

Position Qualifications: Master’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization; or a bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of appropriate experience. Diverse skills in data management, programming, and statistical methods; ability and experience working with a number of software packages (e.g., SAS, SPSS, Stata, Excel, and Access) Ability to work independently, with initiative, manage time and work with minimal supervision to analyze problems and take appropriate action to complete projects.

Salary Range: $58,000- $70,000 annually, based on qualifications and experience
