1 plaza de epidemiólogo/a o bioestadístico/a

Requirements:

Essential: MD or Ph.D. in epidemiology, or in biostatistics, or the equivalent.

Desirable: Postgraduate qualification in genetics.

Excellent knowledge of field-work skills in undertaking comprehensive subject recruitment for epidemiological studies
Good working knowledge of statistical methods with a particular focus on data arising from genetic and molecular epidemiology studies
Familiarity with protocols for collecting and processing tumour and non-tumour normal tissue for subsequent pathological classification is required given that patient characterization may include comprehensive histological classification
Good publication record in relevant research area;
Ability to draft reports
Proven ability to write grant applications
Some knowledge of patient recruitment procedures for studies participating in the International Cancer Genome Consortium (ICGC) or the Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) would be desirable

Experience:

Essential: At least five years of relevant professional experience at the national level or two years at the international level, including some experience in epidemiological data collection, coordination of multipartner studies and networks, statistical analysis of genetic data, and in the use of relevant genetic databases (e.g. Ensembl, Hapmap etc).

Desirable: Experience of international multicenter studies. Some supervisory experience.



Languages:

Very good knowledge of English with a working knowledge of French.
