Duties & Responsibilities:
The University of Indianapolis invites applications for a full-time,
nine-month, tenure-track faculty position at the rank of assistant or
associate professor. The desired start date for this position is fall
2013. The successful candidate will provide research design and
statistical expertise for student health care professionals enrolled in
programs of advanced study within the School of Nursing or College of
Health Sciences (physical therapy or occupational therapy). The ideal
individual would teach research design and statistics and serve as
statistician and/or committee chair on graduate scholarly projects.
Teaching research design and statistics in both programs. Serving as a
statistician for scholarly and juried projects. Mentoring and
collaborating with faculty colleagues on scholarly work. Additional
responsibilities include service to the University, programs, and
community.
Position Qualifications:
Position requirements: • an academic doctoral degree (PhD, EdD, DHS) •
education and training within disciplines of nursing, physical therapy,
occupational therapy, or other health-related field • evidence of
on-going or past scholarly activity • expertise in research design and
statistics in social sciences and/or health care • experience as an
engaging academic teacher within classroom-based, hybrid, and/or online
learning environments • experience with mentoring health care graduate
students through the research process • ability to positively
contribute to a collaborative learning and mentoring relationship with
colleagues and students
