This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Research
Associate/Epidemiologist, to work in the field of infectious diseases,
antibiotic use and antimicrobial resistance (AMR) and join a
multidisciplinary research team at Imperial working closely with the
NHS.
The multidisciplinary team, at the National Centre for Infection Prevention and Management (CIPM www.imperial.ac.uk/cipm
) are undertaking a range of research including work tackling the
issue of antibiotic use and the increasing national and global challenge
of Antimicrobial Resistance. The Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust,
which is part of CIPM runs an enormous antibiotic stewardship programme
and has a hospital epidemiology and information unit that provides
enormous opportunities for both Research and Service Improvement
projects in antimicrobial resistance (AMR), antibiotic use and clinical
outcomes
You will have a PhD or equivalent in pharmacoepidemiology, classical
epidemiology, public health, health sciences, or a closely related
discipline. You will have a proven ability to carry out quantitative and
qualitative analyses on a range of data and must have knowledge of a
range of epidemiological research methods and statistical analyses.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including ability to
build relationships across organisations are essential. A record of
high quality publications and a demonstrable interest or experience in
Infectious Diseases would be a distinct advantage.
This is a full-time, fixed-term post until 31 March 2015 based at the Hammersmith Campus.
