Analyst/Statistician, Sky. St Albans, UK

Sky IQ has created and owns the largest viewing panel in the UK. The Data Strategy & Development team develops complex algorithms and delivers world-class customer insight from this rich data source.

Key responsibilities will include:
  • Developing and maintaining complex algorithms.
  • Adopting a clear and systematic approach to complex issues.
  • Ensuring probing questions are asked to get to the root of a problem.
  • Delivering solutions that appropriately address the project brief and business requirements.
  • Working with other team members and actively promoting knowledge-sharing across the wider team.
For the role, we would be looking for you to demonstrate some or all of the following skills and experience:
  • Strong experience of SQL coding.
  • Strong understanding of statistics.
  • Qualification (or experience to degree standard) in Statistics, Mathematics, Operational Research or a similar numerical subject. A PhD degree would be desirable but not essential.
  • Experience of delivering project-based analysis in a Customer Intelligence/ Analytics team.Experience in the use of a wide range of analytical techniques.
  • Presentation of findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience of working within a team environment and of sharing knowledge across organisations.
  • Strong interpersonal and time management skills.
  • High levels of personal motivation.
