We currently have an exciting and career-defining opportunity for a talented Statistician to join Abbott Diabetes Care’s Clinical Affairs group, based in a purpose-built facility in Oxfordshire.

We currently have an exciting and career-defining opportunity for a talented Statistician to join Abbott Diabetes Care’s Clinical Affairs group, based in a purpose-built facility in Oxfordshire.
You will be leading a team of Statisticians, Data Managers and Statistical Programmers that support R&D, Clinical Affairs, Technical Support and product transfer from our Manufacturing facility, so your responsibilities will be wide-ranging and varied. Much of your team’s work will support the launch of our new technology, but you will also ensure that existing products remain supported and that our wider R&D programme is rapid, effective and well-supported.
We are looking for a talented individual who can:
- Provide leadership and direction in the delivery of clinical and statistical support to ADC worldwide;
- Coordinate and schedule statistical analysis for all ADC R&D groups;
- Allocate statistics resource to ensure that all R&D projects can be supported within the constraints of resources and changing priorities;
- Manage budgets;
- Work with key customers and regulatory agencies to answer technical queries.
In addition to significant expertise as a statistician in the medical devices or pharmaceutical industries (ideally post-graduate qualified in Statistics or Mathematics) and expert knowledge of the relevant Medical Devices standards and regulations, you must also be an experienced people manager with the ability to lead and inspire your group to meet the needs of both internal and external stakeholders.
You will need to have the confidence and technical knowledge to account to the regulatory bodies for your group’s activities, the vision to hire and develop the people you need for your group’s long-term success, and the planning capabilities and interpersonal skills required to meet competing demands from internal customers.
