Professor in Statistics in Affective and Behavioural Sciences. University of Geneva (Switzerland)

Duties & Responsibilities: This is a full time assosicate professor or tenure track assistant professor position. Duties include teaching at graduate and post-graduate levels in the section of Psychology, and in the Swiss Center for Affective Sciences. Moreover, the successful candidate will supervise masters’ and doctoral theses. The successful candidate will develop a research program in Statistics in Affective and Behavioural Sciences at national and international levels and secure external funding. The successful candidate will also participate in administrative duties at the level of the section of Psychology, the Faculty, the Swiss Center for Affective Sciences, and the University.

Position Qualifications: PhD in psychology, in statistics or equivalent. Experience in research in statistics, especially in time series, time-frequency analysis, in the estimation of the coherence and the "Granger causality" of these series with publication records on these subjects. Strong interest in interdisciplinary collaboration in affective sciences and in statistics. Strong publication record in international top journals. Previous research in affective and behavioural sciences is an advantage but researchers interested in developping their research in this domain are also welcome to apply. The working language is French. The successful candidate is expected to reach a working knowledge of French within a year after he/she is hired.

Salary Range: 126,000 - 178,000 US$
