Position: Research Assistant / Research Fellow (Advanced Modelling in Biostatistics)
Employer: Leeds Institute of Genetics, Health and Therapeutics, Divisions of Biostatistics and Medical Physics
Salary: University Grade 6 (£24,766 - £29,541p.a.) or
University Grade 7 (£30,424 – £36,298p.a.) depending on qualifications
and experience. Please note we can only offer a maximum salary of
£30,424 p.a. due to funding restrictions.

Fixed Term (12 months)
This new post offers an opportunity to work in a large, dynamic
research group with an established reputation in medical statistics.
You will benefit from working with experts in the fields of
epidemiology, biostatistics, medical imaging and cardiovascular
sciences. Using novel state-of-the-art statistical techniques you will
work on two projects (i) multilevel modelling in medical image quality
assessment for the PANORAMA project and (ii) functional data analysis to
describe the haemodynamics of ambulatory blood pressure (ABPM). You
will publish in leading journals and be a key part of a large team of
multidisciplinary researchers.
You will be familiar with a range of statistical software packages such
as Stata or R and preferably have experience in statistical modelling
of large data sets. An MSc or PhD in applied statistics or equivalent
experience and an existing publication record in a relevant area are
desirable for Research Assistant and essential for Research Fellow.
Additional training, guidance and mentoring will be given appropriate to
your experience and personal skills. The post is available immediately
for a fixed term of 12 months, (although further funding may be
available).
