Duties & Responsibilities:
Georgetown University invites applications for a Postdoctoral Fellow in
the Department of Biostatistics, Bioinformatics and Biomathematics. The
ideal candidate for this position is a motivated individual with strong
methodological research background and communication skills. This
position entails 1) developing statistical methodology for the design
and analysis of multi-drug combinations, and 2) conducting rigorous
analysis of multi-drug response data using e.g. likelihood based or
Bayesian approach, for research grants funded by the NCI.

The Department of Biostatistics, Bioinformatics and Biomathematics is an
academic department within Georgetown University Medical Center. The
department engages in statistical and bioinformatics research,
collaborative research in biomedical sciences and education program in
Biostatistics. The department has 10 faculty members, 2 staff
biostatisticians, and a strong administrative staff. The department
also serves as an essential component of the Georgetown Lombardi
Comprehensive Cancer Center whose Biostatistics and Bioinformatics
Shared Resource is housed in the Department. The Cancer Center research
programs cover the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of cancer
through innovative basic and clinical research, patient care, and
community education and outreach.
Position Qualifications:
The candidate must possess a PhD in (Bio)statistics, bioinformatics, or a
related field. Proficiency in R and familiarity with Bioconductor
required. Additional qualifications include research experience in
statistical modeling, experimental design, and bioinformatics as related
to signaling pathway modeling.
