Duties & Responsibilities: Position: The Auburn University College of Business is seeking qualified candidates for a one-year visiting faculty position in Statistics and Business Analytics. We seek outstanding applicants with a strong commitment to teaching and research. Although we are open to all areas of statistics, candidates with teaching and research interests in data mining, analysis of large data sets, and/or analytics are preferred. Responsibilities: The visiting faculty member will be expected to teach courses statistics and/or analytics classes at the undergraduate level, graduate level, or both. We seek candidates with active research agendas. Both high quality teaching and high quality peer reviewed research is valued within Auburn’s College of Business.

Position Qualifications: Job Qualifications: Candidates should have or be near completion of a Ph.D. in Statistics, Decision Sciences, Industrial Engineering, or a closely related quantitative field. Candidates who have not completed their Ph.D. by 8/16/13 may be hired in as a Visiting Instructor. Candidates should be able to demonstrate high quality teaching and a commitment to undergraduate and graduate education. A potential for research excellence is a plus. Preferred qualifications include prior teaching experience in a business school environment as well as specialization in any aspect of data mining, the analysis of large data sets, and/or analytics.
